Camp Enrollment

New and Past Clients

  1. Complete a CAMP online application (see below for instructions and link).
  2. Sign a camp waiver. Instructions on how to e-sign the waiver will be sent to you via email by our Camp Administrative Assistant and Billing Manager.
  3. One of our clinicians will contact you directly to schedule the 45 minute camp intake. Once the camp intake is scheduled, we will charge the nonrefundable camp intake fee via the payment method you indicated on the CAMP online application, which is stored in our HIPAA-secure online server. A sliding scale is available for the camp intake fee if there is true financial hardship. Please alert us prior to scheduling the intake regarding our policies with respect to qualifying for reduced fees for this appointment.
  • Camp acceptance is based on clinical fit, and will be determined at the time of the intake. If accepted, we will use your indicated payment method to charge the full nonrefundable camp fee, and an email receipt will be sent to you. We are happy to discuss your child prior to the intake if you have any questions. If your child is not a fit for camp, then we will discuss alternate recommendations with you.
  • IMPORTANT: You must complete your camp application and all supplemental material by the early bird date to be eligible for that rate and must complete the intake process (including the CAMP online application, signed waiver, intake appointment, and payment) within two weeks of the deadline to remain eligible. We are happy to answer any questions regarding the camp during the intake and if additional questions arise afterwards, simply contact us.

Current Clients

  1. Submit a CAMP online application (see below for instructions and link), including payment authorization in our HIPAA-secure online server, even if we already have a payment method on file for you.
  2. We will post the camp waiver to your child’s web portal for you to e-sign.
  3. Our Camp Administrative Assistant and Billing Manager will charge the form of payment provided for the weeks of camp indicated in the application and send you an email receipt/confirmation. All camp fees are nonrefundable.

PLEASE NOTE: All of our regularly scheduled groups and services continue during camp weeks. If your child attends a weekly social skills group or has a weekly appointment with one of our therapists, expect those services to remain on track and on the calendar. Our therapists do sometimes have to reschedule individual appointments to accommodate the camp hours and will reach out to you directly to find a mutually convenient time (maybe even right on the camp grounds! one drop off and one pick up!).

After Camp and Additional Services

If you are a new client, your child is eligible to attend one of our weekly social skills groups once camp participation has concluded. Many children experience a large boost in social skills development through camp attendance and the weekly groups serve to keep that progress going. We have MANY groups up and running continuously all year long to support children at various stages and ages and to provide convenient options for busy families not just during the school week but on the weekends, as well. Let us know if you might be interested in attending a weekly group after camp ends.

We also have a variety of mental health services that your family might benefit from in addition to our social skills camp, Friendship Island. Please be sure to discuss all concerns and recommendations with both the therapist conducting your camp intake and our highly qualified camp counselors. Dr. Seth Shaffer is the Director of Friendship Island and a great resource for recommendations after we have worked intensively with your child during camp weeks.

If you prefer to get started with multiple services at the same time, for example camp plus a weekly social skills group or camp plus individual therapy and parenting, then we require a full 60-minute intake instead of the abbreviated camp intake. Please let us know at the time of scheduling which services you are interested in so that we might match you with the best therapist for your needs. Fees vary by therapist. If you are not sure, that’s okay! Simply ask to speak with Dr. Shaffer and he will discuss all of the options with you prior to scheduling your child’s camp intake.
